KOKYET KANGDRUM: A type of turban used by the traditional Polo players
Kokyet
Kangdrum was a peculiar turban normally
worn by traditional Meitei warriors in the past days. As recorded in the
history, King Khagemba sanctioned this mode of wearing turban for his army
personnel.However, there is no clear record on the practice of wearing this
turban in the period before this Meitei king. Traditional Sagol Kangjei(Polo)
players also wore this form of kokyet during the game.

How to wear this type of turban?
For wearing this type of turban,he cloth is first gathered lengthwise, and is then wound round
the head from both the left and right sides, with no proper .To tighten the
turban on to the head, a small strip of cloth belts the turban from the top
across the two earlobes and is tied into a knot just below the chin; a
fastening arrangement to check any possible drop of the turban when the wearer is
in active movement.
